Installation

Installation of the Suds-N-Flood Tamer Sink Waste Check Valve

(A) Always mount check valve in vertical position.

(B) If practical, do not allow check valve to extend into trap below the normal level of standing water.

(C) Make up slip joint nuts hand tight around check valve.

(D) Always use cross bars with disposals.

(E) Sink Waste Check Valve may be installed on tub waste tee if desirable.

Sinks

(A) mount check valve in tail piece and install below basket cross bars.

(B) In double compartment sinks, mount check valve under tee, with cross bars, or under each basket.

(C) do not use cross bars provided with check valve when the top of the valve will set less then one inch below basket’s cross bars.

Disposals

(A) Install 1-1/2" solder bushing or slip coupling and tail piece.

(B) Mount check valve in tail piece and install with 1-1/2" slip joint nut.

(C) Always use cross bars with disposals.

Lavatories

(A) Install 1-1/4" X 1-1/2" solder bushing or slip coupling and tail piece..

(B) Mount check valve in tail piece and install 1-1/2" slip joint nut.

(C) Use 1-1/2" trap.

Installation of the Suds-N-Flood Tamer Water Closet Check Valve

Placing Check Valve

(A) Turn bowl upside down on floor.

(B) Thread a piece of string (approx. 12") through holes in lip of check valve.

(C) Place check valve over horn of bowl.

(D) Fish lower ends of string through closet bolts holes.

Placing foam gasket

(A) Pull upper end of string through gasket.

(B) Set gasket over horn outside of check valve.

Securing check Valve And Gasket

(A) Knot both strings outside of bowl.

(B) If wax seal is used for gasket, dry bottom of bowl and spread some wax under check valve to secure for installation.

Setting Bowl

(A) Set bowl in normal manner.

(B) Check valve will extend through center of flange and opening.

(C) Remove strings after bowl is set.
